Was it Mom´s secret love? I just don´t know I guess I will never get to hear about the real love there All I know was that it was something about a wartime Pilot A secret that she kept From times when nylon stockings cost a fortune Girls would perm their hair All I know is that she did have a secret love A love from those wartime years She never mentioned his name ever Then I never really used to think much about it Times were really tough then She had to work in factories long long hours I suppose it must have been her dream Her dream to marry that guy She would do her hair and wear lipstick Mom, had beautiful legs and face She was an English Rose fair. This is based on a real story but I never got to the bottom of it. It was in times when going out with a Aircraft Pilot was something most girls could only seem to think about. I guess a lot of it was admiration for the bravery and all those kind of things. A lot of Americans were based up and down Great Britain at that time and they caused quite a stir wherever they went. Again this is not about who was right or wrong its about the girls who lived through those times and had a pretty rough time I know because I was always hearing those kind of hardship stories, food rationing and even after the war was over there was still food rationing going on in some kind of form or another. Gorgeous Cliff Robertson in the film of Squadron 633 was adorable okay so its only in the film and the views of England and other places was spectacular and just imagine they did not have the photography stuff they have now either. I sometimes wonder who that guy was and I could easily see why he would fall for her. I don´t have an actual photo of what she looked then they got taken away from me long story that best left unsaid.
