Said Goodbye to My Dad Last Week

He had been sick for a while and this wasn't completely unexpected. However, after he defied doctors for the past 5 years, it was definitely surprising just how fast he faded. Monday, they were talking about getting him some rehab so he could eventually go home and, on Friday, we were making funeral arrangements. Everyone in the family is doing fine. In fact, I find myself almost humbled by the number of people who have reached out to me and told me how my dad affected their lives. He meant a lot to a lot of people.
