I had posted on someone post here about a HS student about to graduate who drown in a local quarry. It turns out he was an Eagle Scout. His friends say he was everything an Eagle Scout should be kind, honest, a good citizen and a leader. They said they would never forget him... I guess maybe sometimes it is true, the good die young. Tragic, that he was in a quarry that was posted no swimming..not really the scout way.

I can't imagine how his family must feel.. I was totally devastated when a good friend of my son's got killed. I kept thinking he could have been with him.

Yes, not just his family but apparently everyone who knew him was quite saddened.

It really was! You have to watch what your kids are doing, even if they are techinically adults..of course parents can't be everywhere, and he probably had to take responsibility for his own poor judgement. Still it's sad.
