So my friend was telling me the other day about how he got his heart broken more than 7 times by different girls. And it got me thinking, does true love really exist? I mean everyone seems to be interested in money these days and will even fake love just to get it What's your take on this ?

many folks're infatuated 'n mistake such fer love. true love needs to grow'n blossom, nurtured like a garden. if'n somebody 'tis 'nly 'nterested'n what'cha buy 'em, run screamin' like yer hair 'tis'n fire. there'd 'lso be those that seek relationships thinkin' 'ts somebody elses job to make 'em happy. such aint so, yer happiness comes from within yerself.

True love exists, but it takes a long time to become real.

Hmm. You mean it may start as not true but later grows to be true?

@evans777 No, people believe they're in love after a short amount of time together, but there are no short cuts to real love. It takes time and a lot of hard work, but it's worth it.

Yes it really exists, but it is the sort that doesn't make a fuss, so you never hear much about it. True love means sticking together to help each other through good and bad times, and sometimes you may not appreciate it until afterwards.

@evans777 Yes, I'm very lucky. When I first met him I thought he was a bit weird, but I got to like him better as I got to know him, and now here we are together for 16 years so far.

Oh, my! You really are looking to open cans of worms, aren't you? Let me see... how can I explain this... without damaging your mind... too much Does true love exist? Well, most of what we see anymore is not true love... It's more like "love for right now", if that makes sense to you? People seem to be in too much of a hurry and can't wait to let like grow into love. They watch stupid movies that show the man falling madly in love when he first glimpses a woman. That isn't love of any kind. That is simply lust. And while it is great to "scratch that itch", real love is much deeper than that. I could write you a book on love, but probably should let you figure out most of it on your own. *grinning at you* And yes, I found love... and threw her back... and found love again and again threw her back. Just because it's true love doesn't mean everything will always come up sunshine and roses! Life just doesn't work like that! Hmmm... if you haven't been able to figure it out yet, I like to tease and play here on myLot. Of course that doesn't mean I'm not helpful when/if you really need the help. I just like to try and get to know people before I go all in. *smiling at you*

It does exist, but only when you find the right person at the right time.

What if you don't find the right person? Or what if you find the right person but that person doesn't think you are the right person for her or him?

Real love still exist but i see a pattern here if he is dating the same type of girls then he is setting himself up to be hurt and heart broken He maybe needs to take a step back and re evaluate the situation because bad choices lead to bad results. I think he may need to look elsewhere for love because the places that he is going the girls he is meeting up with are the wrong ones. There are plenty fish in the sea he needs to put the right girl on the hook.
