In your dreams

I dreamed I had a couple of cats, and I was trying to catch them and get them to the vet. They were vocal and also avoided me a lot.
Let me stress, this was a dream.
What I THINK happened is a stray cat got into a fight with a skunk, under my bedroom window. I THINK I heard that.
I KNOW I smelled the skunk, for quite some time. What happened in your dreams?

I do not to have to dream about taking a cat to the vet and the cat hiding. My cat I had before Sophie did hide at times knowing I was going to take her to the vet. I learned I had to close things off so she could not hide and that I could get her into the carrier.

Yes, I learned the hard way how to handle it. Now, we have a vet that comes to our home and I put Sophie in her cage and get the bathroom room for her to come and put Sophie in there.

It's amazing how outside influences can heavily impact our dreams. I've had dreams of the world ending only to wake up because the trash truck is outside. I've had lots of dreams lately but I can't recall all of them. There was one where I was in a school and there was a lockdown. The teacher went to throw the shade over the doors window and ended up being shot through the head. I was scared but ended up springing into action and taking the intruder down.

@GardenGerty Yes, I do not like it either. It's not the first time that something I've heard about in the news has intruded itself upon me. I've had several dreams about schools lately as well.
I am not often brave in my dreams.

I do not have those very often at all. I do very rarely have dreams that make my heart race and that make me feel like I was actually where ever the dream was taking place.

I have heard that dreaming happens in the light sleep stage. I do not often remember them though.

@GardenGerty yea, everyone always tells me that I must not remember them cause we all have dreams, which might be true, I mean, I do have a bad memory when I am awake so maybe I also have a bad memory when I am asleep too.

I'm not sure what I dreamt last night, I just know that I did. I almost remembered what it was, but it was gone within seconds of opening my eyes.

Often if I remember dreams they are the kind that feel very surreal. Not exactly a nightmare, but also not pleasant.
