I got a call today while I was driving and the woman on the other end asked if I was Cindy. I asked if I could help her and she said she was calling from the doctors office and had good news for me. I had just been to the doctor for a medical issue so I thought it was them but the call was coming from CO (my former state). I asked what it was regarding and she said "We had another doctor take a look at your X-ray and there is a tear in your meniscus and you are a perfect candidate for this surgery. Well I had a minor surgery but it wasn't in my knee so I asked her what office she was from. She told me a docs office I was at long ago for a knee injury I suffered years ago and they couldn't find the problem. GOOD NEWS!!!! They found after 8 YEARS that I tore the meniscus in my knee. YAY!!! I told her that I don't think I need it now as it has healed after all this time so thanks anyway. They never even looked at the date on the X-ray and still couldn't tell me why they were looking at my chart after all these years. Thats kind of weird don't ya think. I'm just sayin............................ Has this ever happened to you?

That's ridiculous. Why take 8 long years to get into action. That's simply shown that they took that long years to research and find the solution.

You would think they would have found a tear when they first looked at my Xrays but then again, they weren't very good there.

Well, I never cared for them when I went in, didn't seem to give a crap about people. My leg was a bluish color from the knee down into my foot where it was bleeding out inside and they couldn't figure it out, glad it only took them 8 yrs!!!!!

@cintol terrible. I kept sending back mail unopened writing deceased on it and calling most places and some I called insisted I was wrong some kept sending mail for 2 yrs. My client an elderly man got very upset and was going to send money cause it was the weekend but thought to call me first. I told him oh my god no I am not in jail. don't send anything. I went right over to straighten it out .

@bunnybon7 That had to be hard, some people can be so insensitive. After my son passed my mom got a call from someone saying he was my son and he had been arrested in Canada and needed money to get out!

Maybe they are hurting for business, so they are going back through everyone's files and re-taking a look at everything. Or maybe there is a new doctor that just started working at the office and they are trying to make a good impression, or maybe they misplaced your x-rays years ago and just now found them! lol

I should get back to it shouldn't I, this could be a topper story in it!!! Thank you, yes I came home to dishes in the sink, don't think the counters were washed off at all while I was gone or the top of the stove. I did all that and ran the dishwasher when I came in and now I am going to bed. Thanks for the chat

@cintol So, it was a typical male house while you were gone, huh? (Sorry about that. It isn't "typical" here, though. *shrug*) Have a good rest and wake up calm and happy. You already know it was my pleasure.

@DaddyEvil Sad thing was that my daughter and grand daughter also live here and most of it was their mess. Her house was always spotless when they had it, but I guess she is used to me doing it all here!! I will try, catching up on notifications so hadn't made it to bed yet. Your such a good sport

That's very interesting. A little late to be following up, huh? My daughter had been in pain for a good while when a previous doctor called to tell her she needed to be seen right away because a tech saw something on a CT scan that was done four months ago. She had surgery, but thankfully the "something" wasn't a malignancy. And why did the tech decide to look at the scan again? We believe it was divine intervention.

Sounds like she was very lucky to have someone look at hers again, glad it wasn't malignant for her sake. I don't know what the reason for mine was after 8 years, amazing they didn't see the tear the first time they look when my leg was bleeding out inside.

@1creekgirl They didn't seem to "with it" when I was going there, not concerned about people at all. I should have gone some where else and gotten a second opinion but I didn't so that was my mistake.

@cintol we got also a call from our house doctor before because we never went back to her again. We were not contented with her treatments and she did not look to us when she talked to us. She rather looked at her computer than to us when talking to us. I think she lost some of her patients.

I thought at first it was a scam but when I got home I looked at some of my old medical papers and they had everything and the number they called from was from the office so it was real. Just can't believe they didn't check that 8 yrs ago. Thanks, my knee healed fine, took a long time though for the pain to stop.

I'm so glad that your knee problem has healed naturally. Did it? How did you? Mine did, too. With my strenuous walking up and down our long hilly and graveled drive-way everyday. The walks did help me, I think. Need your advice.

Yes, I just babied it for a while and wore a knee brace when it really hurt and over time it has gotten better. Every now and then I feel it but not for long and its tolerable. Glad yours did as well, I also did lots of walking and I think it did help to keep it moving
