For many years I rented a spot in the Women's Art Festival. Lately I haven't been participating. My art is flying out of a store and keeping me busy - too busy to make art for a show.
My daughter lives near Kingston. So this summer I will be there but not selling anything. I will be visiting my daughter and we always like to see old friends at the art show.
During the day there is many events happening for all ages. There are bubble sticks for the kids to play with and many who will play their instruments and sing during the day. The Jugglers entertain all ages...all day.
The photo is one I took of the Belly Dancers and edited it. The Belly Dancers were fun to watch and always very popular at the Art Festival.
Have you ever tried to Belly dance?....Not me!

No, I haven't experiienced belly dancing. Although, a HS batchmate suggested that we batchmates should belly dance when on 2021, we are one of the jubilarians at the Homecoming of our HS alma Mater.
Everyone don't like it, because of that costume, where the belly shows. Most have big bellies already that is why.

I imagine they would have done a fun dance, but at my age you couldn't pay me to do that.

@PainsOnSlate I understand. Watching that should be fun.
In a way, that's good for you to sell in local stores too. Setting up things in show will demand much time, I agree!

I haven't danced that way either. but it was fun to watch them... Its a one day outside show, its a lot of work to set up and take down, I stopped a few years ago because it was too hard for one day. I sell my art in 3 local stores and I don't need to goto shows anymore and I'm loving that...

I have never tried to belly dance before, but I have enjoyed watching belly dancers! We have several big art festivals each year here in Gainesville, and I love attending them! There is one area at these festivals that are set up for performers such as belly dancers and trapeze artists. I always enjoy watching the aerial acrobatics.
I'm glad to hear that your art is selling well out of your store! That's always a good sign!

Happy you are selling your work so quickly! Although I've met belly dancers, never saw a reason for me to try it!

No, but I do know a group of ladies that have. One messed up her feet in a car accident some years ago and had to quit dancing. I only saw them once many years ago.
I know it's good exercise but I wouldn't want to bare my belly for others that way
