First, Happy Father's Day to all the dads on myLot. I hope you're having a fantastic day.
I woke this morning to the worst headache I've had in over two years. I thought this day was a total bust. However, it's a good day. I was up at my usual time 3 something. I got my Bible study post done. That was all God as I had a hard time focusing on it with the headache I had brewing and causing a lot of trouble.
I ended up going back to bed for about three hours, and also took a shower and just let the hot water beat on my head. I washed my hair and gave my head a good head massage. It was after that my headache started going away.
I didn't think I would be going to church this morning because of my headache, however, I got up at 7:40 and was out the door by 8 for church. My headache was virtually gone. I was dealing with the dregs leaving me shaky, but at least I could function.
At church, one lady prayed for me, and another told me she knew I wasn't feeling the best. Hey, when I'm not doing well, I can't hide it. My smile wasn't present.
It was a good service with the message focused on what makes a good dad. They gave away a grill this morning to a lucky dad and Pastor asked me to pick the name. That was an unexpected privilege. The name was even someone I knew, though I know most people now, but not all the guys.
Before church, I couldn't eat. My head and stomach were waging war. I have now finished breakfast and feeling better with food in me finally.
I went to my older son's after church to spend time with him and give him his rock. I don't know if he wasn't home or he was sleeping. There were a lot of cars in the driveway, so I'm guessing sleeping. I left the rock in the door so it wouldn't get wet. Yes, more rain today.
Right now, I'm looking at having a better rest of the day.
How is your day? Have you had a good Father's Day? Thanks for reading.

@just4him Being able to get rid of them is more than most people manage and probably all of them would love to have that talent.

@xander6464 I took four Ibuprofen and then a hot shower and let the water beat down on my head and also gave it a good massaging shampoo. It didn't take long before the headache eased and was virtually gone. I could still feel the lingering effects of it, but it didn't flare up again and stopped waging war with my stomach, which was a good thing.
Before I started on this food program, I would take the Ibuprofen and a swig of Pepsi. The headache was gone in an hour.

I have suffered from migraine for several years. I rarely get them these days. My poor sister gets them almost daily. My 7-year-old son Adam also gets them. It is very scary when a 7-year-old has a migraine. I am glad you feel better.

I don't celebrate Father's Day. I didn't go to church Sunday. I take a Excedrin tension headache medicine when I have a bad headache.

Glad to heaar that migraine didn't hang around and that you did not have to miss service. I am doing great waking up today and first thanking God who is the first Father of all creation and on this day when we honor or remember them in some way we should thank God too for being a Father to us.
