Where would you rather live? In the country or the big city?

If you could choose your ideal place to live, would it be out in the country or in the big city? Are you more comfortable in the quiet, open country or are you the type of person who is eager to move to the big city? Why do you prefer one over the other? I personally have lived in both environments and I think I can say I would 100% prefer the country over the city, any day. I was raised in the country though. I'm interested to see what you guys say!

Right now I would like to find a little cottage to rent that could be next or very close to a building so do not have to live inside a building with others. I have not found anywhere that there are decent people where I have lived.

I would like to live in a small city since the comforts of country living are close by to a small town like Lake Charles. However living in Washington Parish is out of bounds with me.

The city provides me with everything I need, not to mention a working place. But given a choice I prefer living in the country. Honestly I'm getting tired of the noises of the big city.

I have lived in both, and there are positives and negatives to either choice. I am one of those people who could be happy living in either type of setting. My preference would be the country, as I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy spending time in nature. But city living also fascinates me as well.
