They said that the public is a better school for a student since they can learn a lot of things than private! You can interact with more students than in a private school, but one of the problems in public school, there are times that the classes are overloaded. it means in 1 class it has 30 to 40 students and sometimes 50 and that is the reason why they cut it into 2 classes, morning class, and afternoon class, by the way, I studied at private school

I Home School my children and they SOCIALIZE! They go to parks and meet friends, church they have friends, they meet friends on any field trips we take, and they have no issues having conversations with adults too since they don't only hang around "people their own ages" in a building behind a desk all day.

@JohnRoberts I do feel they learn better since they are a much smaller group with more one on one attention. =)
The distraction I can't say much for since I do have their little brothers who at times can be loud and when I babysat they had to learn how to focus still.

Your kids have less class distraction by not being in a room with 30 kids and that goes on. I bet yours can concentrate more.

The huge difference between the public and private schools is the tuition fee. Public schools are free.
Definitely, private schools has the advantage of having better facilities, from libraries to laboratories. And yes, sad to say, public schools lack classrooms and more teachers, that is why students lack the number of hours studying in school.
As far as education is concerned, private schools has the better edge. Yet, when it comes to UP and the science and art schools, these public schools have produced the bests of the best.

@tech40 A parochial school in my primary years. Then a convent school for my intermediate, secondary, collegiate and post-grad education.
My daughters were sent to private and public schools.

@Nickzter1331 Yeah! That's a big difference, that's why there's a lot of students from private migrated to the public because of it.

In Serbia there is a different situation, this is better education in private schools. My daughter finished her secondary private school and now she enrolled in a private faculty. My parents, unfortunately, did not have the opportunity to teach me privately, so I graduated from the state school.

@tech40 Uh, it's very difficult to explain because you do not know the situation in my country. Their salaries are very small, the teachers are dissatisfied, always angry, they are never disposed (as I understand them), and then they dissipate their dissatisfaction with the students. So the working conditions are poor, old chairs, benches, just ... you do not feel comfortable when you're in school, everything is old.
In private school conditions are much, much better. The classrooms are quite bright, everything is brand new, teachers have decent salaries, and therefore they have the will to work and help students. They have no financial difficulties understand? And so they have the will to work.

I attended public school and have taught in both public and private schools. The situation a public schools here in the US has been one of constant decline over the last 40 years. After 15 years of teaching public middle school, I finally became so frustrated with the politics and lack of support from admin and parents that I accepted a friend's invitation (she's the principal at the private school where I teach now) to come teach at her school. I find it a much better environment for me, the students, and the parents.
