I've been AWOL for a while.
Life has kept me hopping. Mylot was not a priority.
Traveling, sewing (big surprise), community involvement, family and just general busyness have kept me away.
We've acquired a travel companion (mascot of sorts) that is appearing in my photos. We have named him (yes, he is definitely a male), Sebastian.
Today we will gather in a park with family we haven't seen for almost a year. That should be a noisy gathering. Tomorrow we are on the highway, returning to our home.

He's great for photos. Almost every photo has included water. Three of the Great Lakes in just four days.

oh, mr. sebastain 'tis a cutie! i'm delighted to hear that'cha been livin' life, helpin' others'n spendin' time with family. those'd be the thingies that matter the most. 'tis diff'cult to get any family together 'round these parts. they either live too far 'way to wish to make the trek 'r they're "too busy". since mamaw's passin' back'n 2011 (rest 'er soul), their'd be nobody 'round to guilt 'em to cooperate.

@crazyhorseladycx That's about 2/3 of our total number. The youngest in attendance was 2 weeks old.

We have had an annual summer picnic for years. Rarely do we have everyone out...but 53 people was a pretty good representation of our family.

We've all been extremely busy. I may be retired...but I'm certainly not set on a shelf waiting for the day to pass.

That happens. People have lives out of My Lot and cannot be here all the time. It is nice when you can come and say hi to us. I love Sebastian. He is really cool.

@Mamerto32 retirement means no "day" job....but I volunteer a couple of days a week, and attend a class once a week.....

A gathering in the park is always nice. Everyone gets to share what is happening and no one has to have a crowd in their home. Hope it is a great day for you.

So does that mean you got to see your sister, Joanne? Or maybe you're able to see her more often. I know I've not been around as much either but I still miss her being here . I hope she's doing well.
I've been trying to visit with those I don't see often not that I really see anyone often since I've been a bit AWOL myself. But, when Ms. Crazy mentioned joining your club of having UFOs now, that helped me remember I've needed wanting to looking you up .
I'm home until the beginning of September as I had m my second one replaced. I intent to be around more but I have so much to do that I've no idea how much it will end up being.

I don't get to see my sister until the end of July. I saw quite a few family members at the picnic.
We were blessed with perfect weather and then hubby and I also had great weather for our trip home.
Now it's raining again. Three days home....three days of rain.

I hope the family gathering was a success. I'm still a bit irked with the production manager who promised me a co-costumer and didn't follow through.

I feel your pain. We would all have loved to see you and I'm hoping we can have a chat soon. (I will be home later today) but for now...I'm getting ready for another long day of travel (not really long by our normal standards). We should be home by supper time.
