I downloaded a book online and I want to read it. Unfortunately though it is a PDF file I cannot open it because it is a large file. All I can do is to open it through Google Drive. That makes me sad because I can't read it offline.
Do you have any idea how to minimize the file size?

There's nothing you can do to minimise the file size of a downloaded PDF file. Of course, you can use a 'zip' facility to compress the file, which will probably reduce the file size, but this won't help you when you come to open the file because the file would need to be uncompressed in order to be read.

I'm not sure if it will work but you could try converting it to epub format. But you have to use an ebook reader so that you can open & read the file. What are you using to read? Maybe I can recommend some apps for you.

I remember you can zip or encrypt the file or something.

well, did you tried to change the PDF file into WORD file? It may minimize the file size.
