What is your thought on large families?

I think it wil be fun having 16 sisters/brothers but it will be a lot noisy. But it will be okay of my family will be able to support each one of us and give us the care. But pity for those having such number of children yet not able to support their needs. =)

i think its okay and it is happier to have large families. the thing is you must have a large family if you can afford.

i guess its great my dad has like about 12 siblings...and its no nice to have a lot of cousins..you never feel lonely ..

Well i think 16 kids is too much, BUT if you can provide, love, and cherish every child you are blessed with, then you can have 25 kids for all i care!!!!! But when the older children are raising the younger kids because mom is fustrated and cant do it all, then yes 16 is too much. But from what Ive seen of the Dugger family. The family is stable enough to care of all their kids.

Well I think it is fine. I have 6 myself. To be honest i think the Duggars have it more under control than some of us with less kids. And it helps keep prorities straight. Family is important. How much "stuff" a kid has is not. Even most americans at poverty level have more than most kids do in many parts of the world....

its very bad for the women, who delivers.. untimately she has to go thru the whole pain

ooops.. 16? too many. i just hope the parents of the 16 kids was able to give the necessities their kids need. if not, poor kids. that's irresponsible parenthood.

That's a bit exaggerated and I doubt anyone except Bill Gates can afford that many children. While I don't believe we show our love through material goods, children eat and unless you're living in an environment where you live off nature that requires cash.

my familyu is normal, we are in five persons, two parents and three brothers.

You must be talking about the duggers!! I intially had my own thoughts about that family and had the intial feeling that it was more of a "cult" but since I have watched the many follow up shows on the family..I am in awe!! They are highly organized, the children are very smart and have happy full days and they are a TEAM. The sole responsibility of the family isn't laid at moms feet. Could I handle 16?? I dont think I could, but as my family has grown over the years (I have 6 boys) I have adapted new ways of doing things and have found ways to stay organized and have time for each of the boys as a family and alone. If you can personally do it and are happy, i say more power to you! I think alot of people ASSUME large families lean on the state and government to help finacially raise their families, but thats where people go wrong, Assuming things.

My thought? Well, as long as they're providing for themselves, and not taking any money from my pocket (ie the govt) then they can have as many children as they want.
