Do you prefer sleeping with the lights on or off?

I understand that my roommate is doing an important project. But if she have to work late, I hope she would just turn off the lights and use a desk lamp instead. It's hard for me to get some sleep when the lights are on.
Then I was going around a mall and saw this sleeping mask. I immediately bought one obviously! Now, I don't mind if my roommate will work late at night.
I wonder, how many of you prefer sleeping in the dark like me?

That's good enough. You can turn your back from it and you'll sleep soundly.

I prefer to sleep in the dark. We have a loft bed and we didn't get new lamp yet, so we have to climb down in order to turn off the light. Sometimes we fall asleep while the light is still turned on.

@ichipink We want to buy a shelf and a small lamp. That way we will able to turn off the lamp without leaving the bed.

That's a good plan. And it won't be a hassle for you when you want to turn off the lights. I hope you get to buy one soon.

Not too dark for me. At least there should be a dimly lit lamp on the corner.

That's helpful especially when you need to go to the toilet.

i was about to ask if she did have a desk lamp or if you could gift her with one, but i'm glad you found a great solution. i assume she works quietly? keyboard tapping would disturb me.

It's not really quiet, but it's not loud enough to bother me from getting to sleep. Besides, I turn the music on to help me have a good sleep.
But sometimes she moves too much that it wakes me up. I got the lower part of the bunk bed so her movements is like an earthquake for me sometimes.
