Do you consider to work abroad?

June 26, 2019 4:12am CST
For me, before I thought that working abroad is the only way to earn more money. I never had a chance to get all what I want when I was a kid and working abroad is the only way for me to achieve all my goals in life. But that was before, I am now very contented for what kind of work, job, lifestyle that I have right now. Some of my relatives are very eager to work abroad and II always tell them that there are so many ways to earn more money without leaving your family and work abroad. Are you willing to work abroad just ti have all the things in life? or are you contented for what you are right now?

I am quite content, although I wouldn't mind a better job. Working abroad is something I have briefly considered but I couldn't leave my family. We might move nearer the sea here, though, but I don't think I would move further, especially if it meant leaving my family behind.

@Jon1224 If I did move, it would be with my family. We live in an old industrial town but we'd like to live nearer the seaside as our health would improve. I think we'd be happier there, too. Saying that, 3 out of our 4 children live away from us anyway so it is likely only to be the youngest that would move with us. I would happily relocate if I could find a job in the place we want to go. We don't have states here, we have counties but yes, it would be a different county.

@pumpkinjam I see. It is not too late for that to happen. and also, living in a different place is quite hard. you have to adjust the lifestyles and the environment. you will leave your love one or friends right? are you still willing to do all that?

You can share what you're doing. do some home based job as well or maybe try to invest.

I don't like to work abroad. Yes working abroad means earning more money. But still I don't want to leave my country.

It is not very attractive for me, especially I have my family here. I want to see my child grows up. I don't want to miss many important moments with my family. Working abroad may bring me more money, but a family is much more important for me.

After I got out of high school I also graduated school of cosmetology. I worked as a hair dresser for a few years. I then had the opportunity to work on cruise ships as a hair dresser. I did that for two years and went to so many countries and saw places I never even heard of. I learned more on the ships than I did from a text book. Now I am married and my husband and I have been going on about 2 cruises a year. Sometimes we bring the children or grandchildren with us. They all love it and sometimes go on them without us. I think it is great to see other countries in person instead of reading about them.

I can understand why people might have to work abroad to feed the family but I would never want to.
