This little finch was not happy I was picking up broken limbs next to his feeder. I love the attitude posed here. And what was I doing out picking up broken limbs and carrying a camera? Actually, I was on my way to go take photos saw the mess and picked it up on the way out. The bird caused me to set down my load and start snapping photos. It's all the birds fault.

But if it noticed you it will fly away and that's very bad attitude, camera shy.

@cperry2 That's wonderful. You can read its.mind. If bird could only talk that would its reaction.

@Nakitakona No, I cannot read their minds. I am a writer and I tend to make up stories in my head about any odd thing that I see. So, in truth, I have no idea why it looked at me that way, most likely it was just curiosity. I used to sit in restaurants and watch people in their discussions. I would make up all kinds of things that they would be talking about.

Most birds are like that, but I guess this one was hungry, he just sat there cocking his head at me as if saying, "hey, human, get away from the food. I have children to feed and you are making them be hungry.." We have some swallows who are pretty aggressive when they have babies in the nest. I've had more than one dive at me to hurry me on my way.

@cperry2 I wish we had feeders for hummingbirds. The most we have are dog dishes of water for the birds. I would love to have a bird bath for them and see all the different personalities of the birds haha I love making up little stories for them.

@DesirousDreamer I was just talking to someone about making up stories about the birds. I've always done that. In restaurants, I tend to do it with the people in a booth I can see too.

They can be territorial. I think humming birds are the funniest though. As small as they are, Oh, my they will sit on a branch and watch the feeder. if another bird gets near it they will chirp and attack. I don't thing they actually hit each other but it gets close sometimes.

That pose sure shows that critter does have an attitude. Our beloved Preiti who we lost recently was particular about us changing her sheets.

pets can be peevish at times. Had a cat that if we went a way for a day or two would leave us a smelly gift in the middle of our bed. (My son or daughter, who ever stayed a the house while we were gone would swear they never saw anything.

@cperry2 Preiti never messed around but she expected us to change her sheet regularly. She was the most well behaved pet we had.

That's right. Blame it on the birds. haha Here is one of our robins. Most like to flit in and out of the birdba but the robins seem to like to soak in it.

@cperry2 It's much brighter than either the American or the English robin. We are out of town and don't have a cat so the birds are pretty safe here. I'll add a nice one of a robin which shows his colouring better.

I think many birds in general have an attitude. Much smarter than people give them credit. I was laughing at this crow was sitting in the middle of street cawing. Just letting his homie's know, dogs coming through, pay attention, but nothing be alarmed about.

@cperry2 Yeah crows, like the dogs of bird world. They will look out for you if treat them right. Some of them are so big, we have them everywhere and this one was as big as a hawk, I am like bet no one messes with him.

@cperry2 Yeah, and swear its a respect thing. If was a bird watcher I would recommend watching them, they have their jerks but amazing how polite they can be also. Again all over here so have been watching them for many years, people may hate them but you will never hear me disrespect a crow.

@crossbones27 none of the other birds anyway. On the other hand, I've seen some tiny little birds chase crows away from their nesting area before.

@cperry2 I called him from his palm tree and he came to visit. He usually stops by several times a day and hovers over us at the pool, peeks in our lanai and windows, and once showed off a fish he caught 11 inches or so from my window. I love that osprey!!!
