Our 2nd elder daughter got cold because she was wet by yesterday's rain.
Rainy season is already in our country. Low pressure area (LPA) is usually spotted by Pagasa, our weather bureau. It is responsible for bringing more in our country.
When there's rain, we usually bathed when we were kids. And some of us got sick. Even adults when wet by the rain get sick too.
Do you get sick too when get wet by the rain?

Never had that issue myself. I love the rain, I will even take hikes while the rain falls. Living near the coast, I love when we get one of the big Pacific Storms blowing in, We will go to one of the parks on the coast and watch the huge waves roll in. Of course we stay back far enough to be in no danger, but it is amazing to watch.

That means your immune system is great. You have a strong resistance to cold.

I used to get sick easily in the winter and that is our rainy season. It was not the rain but over doing it. Now, I have an air purifier and get sick less now.

@Nakitakona Praise the Lord for that. The only thing that gets me sick is dust. I have allergic rhinitis. But easily controlled with antihistamines.

To avoid getting sick wet from rain all we have to do is take a bath . Go to bathroom and take a bath to drive away rain water. That was what we're doing when I and my siblings were young. That was what our dear father told us. That's why I never get sick when wet by rain for I take a bath right away once reached home.

@cacay1 Actually our kids don't have enough resistance especially those poor kids. Their body resistance against cold is weak.

Of course, rain just makes people get cold if their immune system is weak.

I think most of us would easily get sick since we just got adjusted from the sunny weather last summer then when we transition from hot and humid to wet season, our bodies tend to be confuse that is why we easily get colds, cough, or worse flu/fever. These are the common problems we encounter from transitioning from summer to rainy season.

I listen to the weather report before I go out and if it is going to rain then I go out with my umbrella to avoid getting wet. I hope your daughter recovers quickly!
