My First Skydive Postponed Due to Weather

WHOA! I am way too scared to skydive. You can't even pay me to skydive My sister said it was a blast though. I don't have the guts too! I hope you get to reschedule soon when time/weather permits. Enjoy!

I know you were disappointed but they had everyone's safety in mind. I don't think you would of wanted to be up there when the cut lose. I wanted to go sky diving years ago but it never happened.

My mum @nannacroc once won a trip in a hot air balloon. My dad and I went (because Mother didn't want to) only to have it cancelled in the morning due to the weather. We didn't have a completed wasted trip, though, because we stayed in a lovely place and, as the weather improved throughout the day, we had a wander and visited a few places in the area. It was nice to have some time out with my dad anyway. And, yes, I have skydived. I'm glad I did it - it was enjoyable but I don't think it is something I intend to do again. I had never even been in a plane before then. I was volunteered by members of my Slimming World group (I'd been too heavy to jump previously) and raised, I think, around £500 for a local charity. I had support of my partner (co-incidentally also a former Army captain who did over 400 jumps throughout his career with paras and medical corps). I'm not sure I'd have had the confidence if it wasn't for him. My nephew was the one who came with me, though. He didn't do the jump but he kept me company as I had to stay in a hotel the night before, and my nephew took some photos and videos. I hope that you do get to do your skydive. I think I'll stick to abseiling and archery!

I believe you were excited. I've never jumped a parachute, I do not know if I wanted to.

Yikes! Sky diving is not something I would ever desire to do. Glad you didn't go since the weather was bad.

I'm glad you got home in time before the rain started. Bummer it needed to be canceled. I'm quite sure I have had a few disappointments in my day. Skydiving isn't one of them. I'll leave that to those like you who aren't afraid of heights.

The only way I will jump out of a plane is if the plane is firmly sitting on the ground.

A group of us were going to go skydiving for a friend's birthday about 20 years ago, but it ended up cancelled, as well. He changed his mind about it right before

I offered my wife that option for an anniversary gift, or a ride on a hot air balloon, or a trip to the coast. She chose the coast. We have done parasailing, not the same by any means, but we were up well above 250 feet and cruised there above Puerta Vallerta For a good five minutes. It was fun and scary and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

You would have been blown away, who knows where to!

So sorry it was cancelled. I know how much you were looking forward to sky diving. Hopefully, you will be able to do it soon. My nephew loved it and went twice.

My uncle went skydiving a few years ago. I don't want to do it.

I haven't been but my youngest daughter has been. She loved it. If I had known beforehand I would have been a nervous wreck. Fortunately she waited til after she did it to tell me. But, she told her step-father before.

That is too bad. You know this time of year the weather is so unexpected. Never been skydiving. But maybe one day. Not sure. Glad you are safe and you can reschedule.
