i agree.. if there are an extreme amount of responses already.. i tend to scan the first and last couple of pages.. but i still miss alot in the middle.. sometimes i go back and look..

I will usually read it unless it is more than three pages long especially if I want to respond, because I don't want to lose my thoughts. But I try to go back and read the rest after I posted. It doesn't happen all the time though.

I usually only make it through the first page, occassionally through the second if its a good conversation going back and forth and sometimes I'll hit a third page.
Sometimes I do jump to the last page and read those as well to figure out how the conversation has evolved since it started too!

i agree.. it can be a very long process to go through 9-15 pages of others responses and in time forget your own! especially when these pages take sooo long to load in the 1st place!!!

i hear ya.. for the record.. i have started to read at least the first and last pages (especially for longer threads) only because sometimes you will see the discussion "shift" over the course of a few pages and it helps to know what types of responses people are giving by the time you get there!.. sometimes it will help in adding "substance" to your replies!
