A Lunch Treat from a friend

I have a colleague at work who happens to be one of my very good friends. We work at the same department and we have been close since I started working. She is actually the godmother of my eldest daughter. Although we are close, we never go out that much because she has a buddy who have always been her company wherever she goes. But lately, they are having some friendship issues which I never want to meddle. We have been going out lately having lunch or coffee nearby at work. I do really enjoy her company because she is very sweet, kind and sincere. She asked me if we can at least make it a regular going out together. We just had our lunch together last Friday and it was her treat. I told her that next time it will be my treat which she agreed.

I am thinking if she was making excuses since they have issue with the one who’s always with her and uses you instead. And I’m still wishing you that the get together will last long.

Actually I am also close to that friend. We used to get together before. I know the person so well and I don't want to think that way because I am even convincing the two of them to talk about everything.
