actually what's great about mylot is the diversity - we have members from around the world of all ages and we're can freely interact with them even if we've never met them and they don't know around background. as a result, we learn from each other.
however, we have to communicate only in english so we can understand each other. remember other members are reading what we post and can join in anytime. actually, even non-members can stumble on this site and read what's posted here.
we also have to make sure that we read the community guidelines and faq page to know the do's and don'ts here.
mylot is more of a social site, an online hangout, to share stuff and discuss things. try to observe first and learn how to navigate the site.
by the way, is your son a new member, too? what did he say about this site?

Welcome to the "Lot". I don't know how old you are, but there are people of all ages here. Each generation is able to give a different viewpoint on subjects so we can gather all kinds of information on all kinds of things. So don't feel limited because of your age. As it was said, do reply in English as there are a lot of English speakers here and we will tend to reply in the language we are most used to using.
