People are bullied for many reasons. The only common factor is that bullies have low self esteem so the have to hurt other people to feel that they are better.

@ginamel I feel that way. Maybe teachers should explain that to children.

@marguicha not only the teachers but also education must start at home because the way people treat people came from the treatment they have at home

I have been bullied when I was a child, and honestly , no one really called it being bullied them. In grade school i was considered slightly overweight, kids made fun of me and I had long hair, and they used to make fun of my long hair and pull it, and call me names. It was an awful time and teachers didn't do a thing about it, I used to dislike school for awhile.

@ginamel I didn't know how to handle it really, my friends stood by never said a word, when others bothered me. I didn't tell my parents, because they never prepared me for bullies, it wasn't heard of then.

Never had weight problems but anyway I think the most effective way to stop bullying is to fight the bully.

@louievill but what if the bullied is so weak that he or she could not stand for his or herself. In any case, if the bully is being tolerated he or she will do his or her bullies on many people.

I was fat in high school but I was never bullied, we did not have bullies in our school. After high school, I decided to loose weight and now I am not that fat anymore.

@ginamel haha! Yeah, it was so amazing. When I was joining the school, I feared being bullied, I was so lucky to find such a great school.

@a_jerobon learning is great there I assume. Being bullied is not a good experience in humans.

Nope. I was bullied for I was a weakling, a skinny kid before. But I defended myself by a fist fight and I put my bully to sleep.

Yes because there are people now who are protecting the rights of an individual. So some gain confidence through it and accept themselves as they are.

I got bullied a lot and it had nothing to do with my weight or anything.. I got bullied because I was new to the school and city.. typical hannah baker(13 reasons why) stuff..
Then .. one day I decided that I have to be tough.. and I did.. I faced them.. changed a bit..
And then.. no one bothered me again..
