For most Asians, life is serving the family.
Mulan comes spring of 2020. But here's the trailer exciting enough to keep you looking forward to another movie date.
When the Emperor of China issues a decree that one man per family must serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from Northern invaders, Hua Mulan, th...

Am not privy to Japanese and Koreans but the Chinese and Filipinos hold the family to heart.
Am gradually learning about Indians, too.

I have been to a few of Asian countries and the family values are so strong in them. Especially our neighbors share same kind of values like us.

@eileenleyva I found Japanese very much close to their family values. I am not sure about Korea but rest of the Asian countries are very much family oriented.

Netflix has Mulan. You'll love it. The supporting characters might seem slapstick but really, Mulan's character is intense. All in all, the scenes and the music are enjoyable,

@psanasangma The King's Woman is on you tube,. Looks interesting enough but series are time consuming. I don't have the luxury of time.
One day perhaps, will keep this love story in mind. Thanks for telling.

Though women bear the burnt in all culture and countries definitely the expectations from an Asian woman is way too much in a traditional society. They are really strong to stay up to expectations but definitely go through a lot of personal sufferings. But glad that in recent times many are coming forward bringing a perfect balance between the tradition and personal choices. Mulan sounds like an interesting character and a strong one. I will wait to watch it with my daughters.

An in-depth perception on the woman. I agree absolutely. Women, in all facets of society, has constantly made the difference.
My daughters are also pretty excited. Will watch with them, too, though one will be out of the country by spring next year.
Daughters do bloom in time.

Yup. I don't know why they have to delay the showing. Perhaps a marketing strategy.

The animation now belongs to the classics. Loved it very much. The live-action version must be more exciting. Now we see Mulan the legend as a real person.
