Do you help needy people??

I came across this thought while I posted a discussion on expenses , so this maybe a bi product of previous discussions` thread. I would help people whom I genuinely find needy and poor , this help does not limit me to extending financial aid of any kind rather I would be more than happy to help them beyond just money to my capacity . But I also find deception very frequently as I noticed few people pretended to be disabled and begged in traffic signals .This should be the biggest sin as people who are really in need they are then misjudged ...
How do you tackle those situations?

@parpande It's very hard to give away our money as so many people lie and con people. Which makes it difficult for those who genuinely need help as they get ignored and labelled as a possible deceiver.
I try to give as much as I can but I admit that I can't and won't give to anyone or anything unless I know for sure the money is being used to actually help. I help instantly if it's a close friend and have done many times and will continue to do so as I love helping. But I will not just randomly give money away anymore as I worry about being conned.

@parpande I'm sorry to know that! I have been in that situation too. It's not right! It only shows how dishonest and irresponsible people can be!

@VivaLaDani13 That makes the right sense but I could not help myself and remain indecisive almost all the time in choosing whom to help and whom not. The reason is most of the times my friends have borrowed and then never returned me that money .

I don't know if you know this. The more alms you give, the more children will be kidnapped. The more women will be raped. Then as they grow older, they will repeat this on next generation as they understand only that to be the way of their life. It feels bad. Ironically, if you don't give, the children or beggars would go to doctors to get their limbs amputated so that you start pitying them. Even if they don't want to, their ring leader makes them do it. He keeps a watch on them.
There are always some destitutes who have run away from a bad home. Unfortunate ones. But the ratio may be 2 out of 10. Rest are all kidnapped folks.

Well yes there are mafia running such rackets , at least I can read some faces while they carry a baby and beg. Once my sister in law asked such a woman casually 'is it your kid' , then the response was so very surprising ... the woman fled from the place as if someone would catch her. This incident would really dictate something that not everyone is destitute and it is hard to say some hard numbers like X percent are really poor rest would pretend to be the one. Actually, I want to highlight that in my country BPL aka Below Poverty Line people would get grocery at a relative low price, even government spends for their treatment and education as well. I am not saying that everyone would easily receive such benefits as there is a huge corruption but still people leverage these benefits.
I would want to help someone walk rather than carrying him on my shoulders but people turn lazy and lazier if one turns very emotionally available that he puts his head at somewhere backseat, it is the gotcha I want to highlight.
These days people maybe poor but they can work, they have even opportunities to manage their two times bread , no one really needs to beg excluding very few exceptions.
