Which one do you prefer? Regular Taxi or Uber/Grab (Or any similar with the two?)

For me, I prefer to ride on Uber/Grab since it's safer than a taxi, I only heard a few issues with grab and it's all about the lost package but with the help of the company, they're able to locate those package or bags! Unlike on regular taxi's, if you lost something, there's no way for you to get it! Unless you know the plate number of the car or the taxi. Before we have Uber here on the Philippines and it charges lower than the other, but our Government removes it.

I have never used either. I prefer my own car as means of transportation.

In my town I don't think we have any of those ride sharing services. I am just glad I have my own car.

@MommyOfEli2013 Oh so there are no taxis there? Why do other people use for travel?

I have my own car so I don’t have to worry about a car service to get me. I’ve never used either before. My husband had used an Uber before when he got my van towed on accident.

@tech40 oh yes! Right now my van isn’t safe to drive so we are using my husbands car which is much smaller.

@ShyBear88 Why? What happened to your van? Does it seem that you have to go to the repair shop?

From my point of view uber is better. I feel that people are more educated and give you better service

@AlejandroCardozo I agree with you! Unlike on taxi's, some of their drivers are just renting the car

In terms of service and convenience the ride hailing app is pretty much a preference but if you are on a budget with your transportation it is better to take taxi instead. There are times that their services can go high since the pricing fluctuates base on the demand for their service vs the taxi which is pretty much fixed metered.

I mostly use Uber because it is less expensive and comes quicker when called.
