Undeniably peace is very significant in everyone`s life and in daily routine there should be slot regularly for isolation and solitude. For me, I feel I can be more thoughtful and decide my priorities , maybe create a ToDo list in that stint. Unlike to being thoughtful one can meditate, practice stillness to enhance inner self healing phenomenon. Almost everyday we are surrounded by people even though they may/may not be silent , there is an interference and influence of mixed energies subconsciously. Even spending an hour with my laptop alone in semi dark place enables me to do a lot of tasks more efficiently.
It is not like I favor to live alone , but I like to have a little space for my mind .How often to you feel you have an urge to fetch silence and you would miss it to have??

@parpande It isn't as small as it sounds. I have a desk with a computer and printer and file cabinets, books etc. I have a laptop in another part of the room and I only use it when we go away somewhere or I have a problem with my desk top.
In my little corner, I have a screened in room divider which is very decorative. If I stand up it reaches my waist. I can see the tv from my corner and I have a window next to my desk so I can look out and see the weather. It is a cute little spot and it is mine.....

I made a decision 40 years ago to live alone and have never regretted it. There is a difference between being alone and being lonely!

I make sure that I get that 15_20 minutes of me time everyday without getting disturbed. It's vital for me.

@Miss_Leafy But few people may find it hard to find some of their own time.

Yes, I too like to have some solitary time - even if it is for 15 to 20 minutes, or even 10 minutes.
It helps. Chanting mantras for a minute or two brings peace to the mind.
