Another BIG Shock for Me Today

I am really getting to old for all the shocks that are happening in my life these days. I told you about seeing my daughter and youngest grandson on tv last week. Today I was sitting on the couch and UPS left a package for me which I thought was strange. I brought it in and I started to open it and my husband said it was really for my grandson and shipped here accidentally. I bought it, wouldn't you???
So after I called to tell my grandson I have it he said hold onto it and I will probably see him before he goes away to college in the fall. OKAY, I bought that....My husband and I were laughing and after we hung up the phone we kept talking about it.
About a half hour later, the door opens and my grandson came walking in. I was dumb founded as he lives in New Jersey and we are in Florida. I looked out the window and asked how he got here as there was no car outside.
Within 5 minutes the door opened again and it was my daughter and her boyfriend. They all drove down here after they got off work to celebrate my 77th birthday.
I never expected that and I think I am still in shock. Here I thought I was going to have a very quiet birthday and now I have company for a week.
I am getting to old for all these surprises but I love them.

Awww that is so sweet. What a nice surprise. That's a good surprise, though, right? I just had a birthday, Monday, and spent it pretty much by myself. I did use a gift card that one of my girls gave me for Mother's Day so my husband and I could go out for dinner. That was nice.

@moffittjc The week is finally over and everyone left and now it is very quiet with lots of food left over. It is very peaceful. It was a good week and we had a lot of laughs.

You are right. My grandsons are both loving even though they are 18 and 22. They never hide their affection to us.

Thank you. I know we are going to be a lot more active this week that I planned to. My grandson is 18 and going away to college this fall. He is going to culinary school to become a chef. He lives in New Jersey and is going up to Rhode Island to Johnson and Wales, a very good college for culinary.
