I am sitting here and I keep seeing lightning to the south of me. It is really cool cause I am working on the computer and when it flashes I look up. I have no idea if it is raining down there because I don't want to bother my kids. It is pretty though.

I hope you got your rain. We haven't had any in awhile. The clouds build but we get nothing.

@LadyDuck I sure wish that we could get some. A lot of the sprinklers are not working in the complex and the grass is real brown.

I like watching a display of lightning as long as it doesn't do any harm.

And you didn't invite me to the party lol. I know right where you live and I know what it can be like there. I was visiting a friend, Bill Meckler, and a storm came in. It was something else. Do you know Bill by any chance?

It is amazing the different scenes we see from lightning. The sky looks so neat when there is a bunch of lightning at once.

I haven't heard of any fires or anything from the lightning. Thank goodness. It has been pretty darn hot here. I wish we could get a old front.

I love the sound of thunder. When kids would be afraid of thunder I would tell them it was God and the angels bowling.

@velvet53 A person I knew would tell his kids it was God re-arranging his furniture.

That is cool. I remember one time I was headed to Nebraska and we got hit with golf ball size hail. It sure made us stop and take cover.

It is a good idea to shut things down when it is lightning. It can be a little scary if you are outside. One just needs to remember to always stay away from water.

I always think lightning is so pretty. I love turning off lights and just watching room light up blue. It is also probably the smart thing to do and would be fun if not so deadly. Sometimes when we get a lightning storm you can literally feel electricity in air. One time we had to sit in middle of room because it was so bad. That one was scary. Stay safe.
