Good morning. Not a good one for me.But hanging out at home knowing that I will be safe.
this is a beautiful plant well not really more or less a vine flower that is very popular in Central America.
This plant was given to us many years ago.
Donna did not have any luck with it and pass it on to us.
This year it came alive with the tender care of Mike working on it.
Nice color. Can you identify this plant?

I recognized this right away too! Our neighbor in back of us has this (in this exact color) in his yard up against our mutual fence. He literally prunes it to almost nothing each year, but each time it grows back fiercely - up and over onto our side of the fence. Little birds like to perch on the "vines" .

It looks a bit like what a friend calls Jamaican rose but I'm not sure. It could be a member of the hibiscis family.

I did have a bougainvillea once but of course, they can't survive outside up here so it has to come in the winter.

i agree with judy. they are pretty decorative hedges and fences, but their other purpose is to also serve as deterrents against trespassers and burglars because of their wicked thorns.
