Another Smell-FIRE

I heard my sprinklers come on so I went out to check on them. One head needs replaced. To heck with that There is a strong smell of smoke out there which only means one thing-FIRE. Thank goodness that the neighbor lady and I watered the lawn in front of her place today. The sprinklers are not working there so we hand watered it.

Yes there was a fire but they got it put out. The fire department got there real fast and had it out in no time.

@velvet53 That's better. If the firefighters arrived late, the fire would spread like a wildfire and many houses and properties would be consumed.

The sprinklers are a pain, they work one day out of 5.

That is true. It would be nice if the guys that work here would take care of things but they don't care.

@LadyDuck You would think that an apartment complex would be kept up better. I have seen a lot of yards where people are just letting the weeds grow. That just invites snakesa nd critters.

Yes there was but they got it put out real fast. It was only about 8 blocks from where I live.

@velvet53 I really don't like bushfires. Touch wood, they are the one catastrophe that is most likely to affect us. I say 'touch wood' hopefully we won't get a tornado or earthquake.

Things are fine here. We called the maintenace office about the sprinklers not coming on but that didn't do any good so we watered again today.

Everything is good. The fire department got there real fast and putt it out. People are so dumb when it comes to smoking, having BBQ's and stupid fireworks. Peoples lives are at stake when a fire starts.
