My Vegan 'Pizza'

Before I gave up meat and dairy I loved a pizza but I've found the vegan versions aren't particularly pleasant. The vegan cheese is a bit slimy when it's melted and all vegan pizza producers seem to think we need blast your head off chilli on them.
I can't be bothered to make my own but I did find that my pizza passion was well and truly satisfied the other night. I had some part baked baguettes in my kitchen cupboard so I cooked one up in the oven for around 10 minutes, split it in half lengthways and then filled it with vegan buttery spread followed by a sprinkling of garlic granules. I then prepared a coleslaw (with vegan mayo of course!). On top of the garlic bread I put some softened onions and peppers and topped it off with a sliced tomato and a handful of olives
I know it wasn't the real thing but it satisfied a craving and cost about half the price of a regular pizza!

I suspect only Dr Oetker or Mr Goodfella would be able to answer that one!! I can't see what needs to be masked they're normally chickpeas, peppers, onions, sweetcorn and very little else. I am tempted, the next time I order a takeaway from Just Eat to go to Papa John's or Domino's as they both do vegan pizzas just see what they're like. Trouble is, if I don't like it I've lost a tenner rather than £2.50 for the frozen ones.

I don't eat meat or dairy as I don't agree with the way the animals are treated but I do eat fish ... provided it's not farmed.

That sounds delicious to me! I'm sodium sensitive so I've got to keep the sodium levels low and most vegan/vegetarian prepared foods are high in sodium. I try to follow a WFPB diet and I've found I really like the simplicity of recipes from Dr Neal Barnard and Rhonda Malkmus (she has cookbooks that are for the Hallelujah Diet) . But they both use whole food ingredients that can be found in any grocery store.
