Song of the Day: Whiskey Lullaby

Sonora, California
July 18, 2019 8:28pm CST
Allison Kraus and Brad Paisley sing beautifully together, Whiskey Lullaby is evidence of that. I know Country music is not for everyone and this song is truly sad, but it shows just how alcoholism can destroy a life. For those of you who do like this type of music, I hope it touches your heart in someway!

Country artists today are the best alternative to the rap music being crammed my throat on television.

@Michellekidwell Some songs have lyrics so awful that I have to put on the mute button.

They are both excellent singers, especially Alison Krauss, but I can't help laughing every time I hear this song. It really does fall into the "Mama got drunk and threw herself into the creek" category.

Yes, but it does happen, that’s what makes it so heartbreaking!
