One of the things I did on my little jaunt was stop by a regional chain of sub shops in Bristol. The place is called Zero’s, and they’re pretty much confined to in and around Virginia. My brother is in love with the “grub steak and cheese” sub. Since he’s my transportation to the doctor for my colonoscopy later this month I thought I should pay my bill. So, I picked him up five of those subs. I also decided to try one, because I’d never had one before. Ooh. I see what he likes about them. It’s sort of like a “Philly steak and cheese,” with very thinly-sliced beef, provolone cheese, and grilled onions on a toasted bun. My brother said he’s tried other sub shops and delis all over, but nobody makes this sub like Zero’s. So that’s my one day of working for Grub Hub. And I only had one customer.

I thought you usually ate squirrel stew at the Road Kill Cafe.

Everyone’s taste is different, but what “made” the sub for me was the smoked provolone cheese. Wow, that was good.

Wowza. I haven't heard of that place at all! I didn't realize you were working for them. I hope it picks up for you later on ! Have you had heard of Amazon Flex? Not sure if they have that in your area, but similar concept, but you are delivering packages for Amazon.

No, I’m not. That’s a joke, a play on the name of the sub (grub steak and cheese). I just got them for my brother because I was in the neighborhood (took 300 miles of driving to GET to the neighborhood ) and I know how much he loves those.

Sounds a nice meal. Any meal is nice to me if it's bought by someone else.

I have never used Grub Hub. But... that sub does look delicious. For that matter I have never used any of the delivery services aside from the restaurants that already provide it.

I'll have to keep my eyes open for a Zero's next time I'm in Virginia! You've piqued my curiosity.

I will remember that if I get deported To Virginia. I have been through there but no one said they have good subs or I would have made them stop. We only had 96 hours to get to Pennsylvania twice and be back on time.
