With steaming hot weather this weekend.
It is time to get angry about climate change
For the sake of your children and grandchildren what will get you angry enough about global warming How much knowledge would take you to speak up and let your voice be heard.

We are not the big offenders, who is going to get China among others to do something? and I don't find our weather particularly different in New England we have always had hot summer since I can remember. The climate on the earth has changed every few hundred years forever. and you might want to read this,
A new paper published by researches form the University of Turku in Finland suggests that even though observed changes in the climate are real, the effects of human activity on these changes are insignificant. The team suggests that the idea of man made cl

@amadeo No there is no question that we are in a warming cycle but the earth's weather is cyclical, we have had ice ages and warm ages. Now dumping in the oceans that is a real and dangerous issue that needs to be addressed but until the rest of the world gets on board, nothing will happen.

But the President has assured us that global warming is a hoax and climate change is something the liberals made up just to make him look bad. So, resting on his promises that what is obviously happening is not really happening, I do not worry one bit about global warming or climate change because I know the President and the Senate Majority Leader are right and that burning more coal is the answer to our problems, not relying on solar and wind energy.

@amadeo Climate change has been and always will be happening. What's different now is the degree to which human activity is accelerating the change. This POTUS, as opposed to his recent predecessors, denies that climate change is even happening and is not only unwilling to support measures to slow it down, he seeks to stop those measures and use more of the fossil fuels that are a major part of the problem.

The evidence for climate change, and for it being due to man-made causes, is overwhelming, and you will be hard pressed to find any reputable scientist, qualified in the field, who says otherwise.
Unfortunately, there are far too many unreputable people, who claim to have scientific credentials but in fact do not, who seek to sow doubt about this. Why do they do so? Because they are in the pockets of big oil, big coal, or some other vested interest.

Perhaps you would like to lobby your congressman to remind Mr Trump about it!

@amadeo It is the same here Alfredo. They do not listen to the people and do what THEY want to benefit themselves only!

This conversation always comes up when it is hot out, but here in the Chicagoland area we get this every year. Of course when we get the 10 below and 40 below wind chills I really don't hear to much about this global warming. What do I know, I'm no science guy.

I confess I am ignorant on this topic. I do remember the days of childhood when the summer monthes lasted forever and winter was brief. Just the opposite now.

I discuss it all the time with people who are willing to listen and actually have some good conversations. Unfortunately our government does not feel it is an issue. The signs are there!

I don´t worry about it as people are so full of hatred for each other, they will kill humankind off before the climate does.

I wish I had the answer but climate change seems to fall on deaf ears . I don't know what it will take to take action before it's too late

Dear friend Alfredo, the topic you are discussing is of great importance, but I think that rather than raise our voice in this regard, it is to act "action is demonstrated by acting". It is very important to follow from the smallest recommendations to the most significant, to really contribute to the solution of this topic.
