My Suitcase Travels More Than I Do

Right now my suitcase is on a cruise ship and docked in Bermuda. I hope it's having fun.
My oldest daughter, son in law and the grandkids are on a 10 day cruise with my son in laws family. They left Thursday and had a day at sea and the first stop is Bermuda. Then they will travel to other parts of the Caribbean and I am expecting them to have a good time. My grandkids are so looking forward to this cruise and the excursions each island provides. They haven't been on a real vacation in many years so they are old enough to enjoy the cruise.
As I said in my title, my suitcase travels more than I do.
It's been to Vegas, on another cruise with my youngest daughter, it went to Pheonix Arizona last year with my granddaughter with the marching band and then when she made her trip to Italy on her school trip.
I'm sure my suitcase has been to other places that I can't remember but hopefully one of these days I'll be the one taking the suitcase on a trip.

They did invite me and I said no. Now that they're away I wish I had said yes

Make it a goal, that the next time your suitcase has a workout...you will be with it!

@Marilynda1225 It happens when you do long International travels, every airport transfer is a risk. Also American Airlines "forgot" our luggage in Puerto Rico one year, at least we stopped for a week in Orlando and the waiting was not too long.

@LadyDuck I haven't ever done any international traveling but I can see where it would be possible to lose luggage if you have to transfer from plane to plane. Glad you got your luggage back and it wasn't lost forever.

I would hate to have my luggage lost like that. It's one of my fears of traveling.

Once the airlines mishandled my luggage. I was in San Jose, California to visit relatives. I asked where my stuff was and they told me Chicago. I had to borrow clothes to go to a wedding while my things enjoyed a Chicago holiday.
I hope you get to go on some trips. You need to keep saying I want to travel. Soon, unknown opportunities will suddenly open up. It worked for me and it could for you too.

Gee I probably would have cried if my luggage got lost.
Guess I'll have to throw it out to the universe and see if traveling is in the future

@Marilynda1225 It couldn't hurt. I did it and got to go to Michigan and California. I can't guarantee where your luggage will go.

Do take a holiday! It is so wonderful! I don´t usually share suitcases with my daughters. My eldest uses backpacks and has checked to the millimeter what the airplanes accept. Claudia, on the other hand, takes a suitcase full of toys for Sofía and, up to the last time I went with them, Vicente brought about 6 very thick and heavy books to read in 2 weeks (he read one maybe). I have 2 suitcases, one very small one and one medium sized. That is enough for me as I cannot carry more.

I wish I could take a holiday but it just wasn't possible this year. Maybe next year I'll be the one using the suitcase.
I know you enjoy your time away

Italy was one of the best places. My granddaughter went with her high school Italian Club and they had a wonderful time.

No it doesn't have any labels on it for all the places it's been but I have gotten a refrigerator magnet from each of those places. Hopefully one day I'll be the one taking it on vacation.

I did not know that suitcases have more traveling adventures than the average traveler.

It is nice to have someone who has good stuff that we can rely on to borrow, I'm sure that your family recognizes that.
Our son travels much more then we ever will, so we are always looking for luggage sales to replace one piece or another for him.

I guess if we all traveled as a family we would be one suitcase short for someone since I'd be using mine
Getting your son new luggage is such a nice gesture. Luggage can be expensive if you have to replace if often.
