The thermostat says it is 87 degrees F in here

I was wondering why I was sweating so much as I vacuumed and dusted the apartment. I finally thought to look at the temperature in here and was shocked to see that it said 87. I opened the door and stood outside (90 degrees at the moment) and, yup, it felt the same outside as it does in here. I have no idea if the AC is broken or if it simply can't keep up with this heat wave since I'm in a 3rd floor apartment. There's nothing I can do about it now anyway since it is the weekend. I don't think they would consider no AC as an emergency. I guess I'll have to tell them about it tomorrow. I'm tempted to just open the windows and let some fresh air in since it is so hot in here anyway.

If you have fans set bowls of ice in front of them to provide some cool. Most of my house is always hot. We do have window units in the bedrooms--or multipurpose rooms as they have become. None in the living areas though.

With the heatwave you're having it should be considered urgent to them.
