Do you plan your dinners in advance?

I used to do a weekly meal plan but I've found that, now that I'm living alone, I often have lots of leftovers to eat before I need to cook again. Still I always know what I'm going to have for dinner at the start of the day. I don't wait until 4 or 5 pm to decide what to have because that means that meat won't be defrosted and I'll be starving by the time everything is finished. Do you know what you are having for dinner tonight? I do and it is already defrosted in the fridge.

I used to plan in the morning but with how sick Tony is now and can`t eat certain foods anymore I don`t. As you know I have plenty of home canned soups, chili and more so I can just find me something.

I'm not 100% sure what we're having for dinner. Some days, I will make a plan for dinner. Other days, I don't. Some days, it's a last minute decision.

I wouldn't have anything thawed if it was a last minute decision

@NJChicaa Neither would I. If I don't take anything out in the morning, and it's a last minute thing, I usually just throw a frozen pizza in the oven, or something.

Sometimes, when you feel like you have a cook everything, it become a challenge to think of what to cook.Sometimes people at home point fingers on what to cook, blah blah.. I want a weekly meal plan s well

I can not eat the same food two days in a row. So as I am on my own at the moment I only cook very small amounts of food. A lot of effort for just one I guess but it seems ok so far! Enjoy dinner tonight!

I usually figure out what I'll be fixing for supper, in the morning. Like you mentioned, then the meat will be thawing out all day long. If we have leftovers, I plan the side dishes ahead of time, also. Dessert, I usually don't plan one, unless we're having dinner guests over.

@NJChicaa One of the first things I think about each morning, 'what should I thaw out for supper?'

Most of the time, yes. Especially, when I am together with my family, we plan what to eat for our meals.
