The other evening we had a BBQ which should have been great except for the fact that when I sat in my garden chair it split and I ended up with my backside almost touching the lawn. We had two chairs - one was quite an expensive, comfy garden chair which I bought for my dad back in the mid 80's when he'd had a stroke and wasn't able to move far. At that time he had a large oak tree in his garden so, on hot sunny days, he'd take this chair out to the garden, put it up in the shade of the oak tree and just watch the fish in his pond. However, when he passed away in 2000 Mum asked me if I'd like to take it back, which I did. As it was larger than a normal garden chair I then bought the one that broke under my weight(!!!) and I suggested Adam use 'Dad's Chair'. At the fateful BBQ Adam, being the gent, went indoors and got me a dining chair and said he'd order a new one for himself and I could then use 'Dad's Chair'. His chair arrived today and, as luck would have it, it's a baking hot day so Adam took it into the garden to try it out for size. He decided it was nice and comfy and left it there ready for our BBQ tonight. When I went out during the afternoon to take photos of my plants I discovered our little Dusky had decided it was going to be her chair and looked quite at ease as she slept soundly in the shade! Don't think she'll be sleeping there after 6.00 tonight as that's the time Adam will be lighting the BBQ!!
