Drum pedals or your own feet

Do the pedals really matter or is it all in your feet?
I always say practice, practice, practice and then practice a little bit more, but one thing we can´t deny is the more quality our tools are the best the results of our work.
What do you think? can a drummer play with any drum pedal despite it´s quality??

It's in the performance that makes pedal good. What I mean it's the skill of the drummer.

If a drummer has its own quality then he can stand on his own feet. So the talent is more important.
