Good morning.
Just read an article on dirty beaches .
We have them here in Maine.
Neve gave this a thought but make sense.
Here is a list from the USA today news on this.

I couldn't get the link to work. My favorite beach is Clearwater Beach in Florida. I hope that it's not on the list.

I was surprised we have only 1 beach listed for South Florida--we have 'beach clean up Days here and it is amazing what is picked up!

@GreatMartin we have a few in Maine that are listed.
Family beach are the worst.Most kids peeing in the water and not sure about the poop.

There are many here too around Lake Ontario. They put a list out the other day as well. It's such a shame as I love our water areas.

I think most of our beaches aren't too bad although there is always some rubbish.

Some areas especially those who are in a polluted area really is very bad and dirty.

Here in Oregon, we have what look like clean beaches but this summer we have been getting numerous reports of fecal matter in the water. I know that it has been the habit of municipalities to put a line in from the sewage plant and pump that stuff out about a mile or so and dump it in the ocean. It is no wonder that it washes back in when the winds come just right. I think it is a disgusting practice and that we should find solutions on land instead.
