Well spent Saturday!

Yesterday, we spent the entire day on the road. We went to check out the Eumundi Markets and had brunch there before heading to the Coolum Beach. Mind you, I'm from a tropical country and beaches never ceases to give me that aw, appreciative feeling for this wonderful earth we have here. Nature, especially the bodies of water gives me that calming relaxing effect. If only I can live near the beach. That's a goal I'm aiming.

Dianne, I should buy a condo across the Lake Worth Lagoon from you so that when you look across the Intracoastal to the east, you can see me and wave good morning! And then I'll wave back, and we'll both laugh!

Saturday was nice. Spent most of our time at home, but went to the coast to watch whales for a while too. We saw three, two adults and a calf. They were nearly a mile out, much further than we are used to here, but it was fun, especially seeing the tail fluke come out of the water a few times.

@JeahNika I am not very familiar with Australia or its geography but there are lots of whales to see in the waters near by. Sydney has several whale watch charters available. Other areas do to. Plus if you can get near New Zealand, they have the biggest whale, the Blue swimming in their waters. Some of the scientists that work at the Hatfield Science Center here in Oregon, go there to study them.

Oh, you are indeed lucky to have the beach in walking distance. I am a Supernatural fan too. I haven't seen it though for a while as I am trying to catch up with work. Hoping today will be good if not as great as well. :) Enjoy your evening then. :)

I was lucky enough to grow up on the beach, and so the gentle sound of the waves hitting the shore, and the cool ocean breeze, and the warmth of a rising sun greeted me every morning. I truly miss all that now that I don't live on the beach anymore, but thankfully where I live now I can drive in just about any direction and be at a beach within an hour.

@JeahNika I've always been a sunset at the beach type of guy, even though the beach I grew up on was on the east coast and so I saw mostly sunrises. But for me, nothing is more beautiful than seeing the setting sun sink low over the ocean at the end of a day.
