Achieving perfect understanding.....

Is it ever going to be possible for any human being to be able achieve perfect understanding of another?
I mean we have friends and family, with whom we live our entire life, still at points we find ourselves clueless about their actions and approach.
We have invested enormous time and energy in serious efforts to know people we love and admire, but in the end, how close can we come to that person's essence and reality?
We convince ourselves that we know the other person well, but do we really know everything about them, can we really be sure about about things that are related to them....?

I sometimes wonder that do we really know ourselves well, forget about others. Sometimes we behave in a way in certain situations that even we are shocked/surprised at ourselves.

It is so hard to know someone as much as we know ourselves. I don't think we can ever reach there, everyone loves having their own privacy. I wouldn't want someone knowing me completely
