What is God responsible for exactly? My humble opinion

July 28, 2019 10:05pm CST
Always before each game of chess he asked God for victory, many times he lost but he always asked God for victory again on the next occasion. The point I want to get to is that if God had always pleased my prayers today I would be the best chess player in the world and I wasn't studying telecommunications engineering. They could have done endless things. Sometimes a game decides the future of people and that is why it is no less important than the rest of the things we do. When I wondered why I had not won, I thought about that child who played against me who often asked God for victory too. Then I realized that victory and defeat have a purpose. The truth is that this is a very interesting topic with a lot of debate. I firmly believe that God is present in our lives all the time but we are the result of our own actions and those of those around us, for our free will for thousands of years we have hurt the planet where we live we have been responsible for diseases, explosions and genocides and today we carry the responsibilities of our ancestors starting with the sin of Adam and Eve ... I close with a question to know that the builders of the TITANIC said the phrase "Neither God can sink this ship". Would you have ridden? We are the result of our actions

People always try to overlook their mistakes. They knows how to criticise GOD.

In matthew 6:5-13 Jesus discusses and gives instructions of how to pray and what to pray. The Bible is full of examples of prayers. Can you find anyone that prayed for victory in a game?

@RememberMe1 Most translations use the word lot instead of luck. Lots was an ancient method of allowing God to decide the outcome of a decision or issue. Proverbs 16:33 King James Version (KJV) 33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord. The last time this was referred to in the Scriptures was in Acts 1:26 King James Version (KJV) 26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles. Casting lots was never used for games or gambling. Today when we have an issue or a decision to make we no longer cast lots but pray and search the Scriptures to help us decide what to do.

quick search on the Internet I was not able to find anything about what you say but limiting something to the subject I read this. Proverbs 16:33 says, "Luck is cast on the table, but the verdict comes from the Lord."

The game of chess is not a game of chance, so, of course, luck should not come into the victor's game. Is it ok to pray for victory in a game of tennis, for example, too? Some people do pray to win games, like tattslotto, or games of chance though, as well. Psalm 144 New Century Version (NCV) A Prayer for Victory Of David. Praise the Lord, my Rock, who trains me for war, who trains me for battle. He protects me like a strong, walled city, and he loves me. He is my defender and my Savior, my shield and my protection. He helps me keep my people under control. So, God trains him for battle; these days, maybe we could pray then, to be trained well to win at tennis. Jesus Christ did also say to ask, and it shall be given. He didn't specify that there were any conditions of the "ask". I guess each person needs to discern the ethical nature of their prayer for themselves.

God sits at the top of it all, but his presence is also under it all too. In some ways, then, he might seem to be ultimately responsible for everything, but is he, or not? Is God ultimately responsible for everything, as the creator of everything? Are we the result of our own actions, or does outside action cause results for us too, like with my Mum’s cancer, was that the result of one of her actions, or the result of something outside of her invading her, so it was a result of the cancer’s action? Love acts and God responds, but any other action that we take, we receive the results of that back to our self, as a result of karma, or the Law of sowing and reaping, and God is not responsible for that, and yet he did create that law, so that part of it, he lives with, but all laws created by God are effectively the best laws possible, so responsibility does not come into anything that God does, as he just does. It's a hard question to answer though.

@RememberMe1 Yes, thankyou, I certainly believe so too. Almost anywhere else would be a better place than where she was at the end of her life.

I believe we all came here to allow our spirits to experience a body. I believe we have agency to good or evil. I believe God is the father of our spirits and we are here to learn. Most often we learn from mistakes of our own creation. I don't think God sets us up to fail and I believe others may be inspired by God to help other people understand. It's probably not what most people believe and still it makes sense to me.
