Yes, the Blue Angels, Golden Knights and other air and ground performers were in town this past weekend. I watched them Saturday butt wasn't in the best spot so I didn't see a whole lot. My oldest son, Carl called me Saturday night and they had gone out on a country road and watched the show. They were talking to a lady about where a good spot would be for them to watch the show on Sunday. She went to her car and came back and handed them 3 tickets. She was with the Military Missionary. He asked if I wanted to go with them. I definitely didn't tell them no. When we got to the airport we found parking spots that were close to the entrance which surprised me cause we didn't get there until awhile after the gates were opened. After getting inside we walked around some then found a great spot to put our chairs and cooler. We had a canvas canopy over us and a nice breeze was coming through. The Golden Knights pilots were dropped from the sky and when they got landed the show soon began. We saw the Swamp Fox perform going as fast as 480 mph at times. It is a small jet but it could sure go. Then there was the F16 Viper, the Mustang, Boeing Stearman biplane and a 1942 Vampire PT12. They were also so amazing. We also got to see the 1944 After Shock Fire truck. It was going as fast as 325 mph but can go as fast as 407 mph. It was so cool to watch the After Shock race racing with one of the jets. After a small break the Blue Angels came down from the sky and soon their show was on the way. It was thrilling to watch them. My son got some super pictures and videos. They definitely know how to fly those jets. WE never was sure which direction they would be coming from so everyone was always checking in all directions. Some times they came up on us so fast that we barely had time to get a picture. I had such a wonderful time with my son and his fiance, who most of the time I call her my D-I-L. It was so exciting to watch those two having so much fun, especially my son with all he is going through. It was a fabulous day. I am posting a picture of my son then I am going to attempt toload a couple of videos. I hope they come out ok.

It's amazing. It's fabulous to watch air show. I remember several years ago we're in a national boy scout jamboree and for the first time in my life to personally watch an air exhibition of the Philippine Airborne. I was tongue-tied to see a wonderful contrails coming from a squadron of jets.

@velvet53 I was the scout master at that time. I had several boy scouts who went with me. If I couldn't forget it, it's the World Scout Centennial jamboree held at Clark Field, Pampanga, Philippines sometime in January1998.

@LadyDuck I swear she is bipolar. we never know what will set her off. I save her so much time when she gets off work. I make sure the dishes are done, fold clothes if there is some in the dryer, things like that. Things will go good for awhile then if I say the wrong thing she goes off and my son is the one who suffers from it.

@velvet53 I suspect the other son wife is not exactly a nice woman that you like to meet. What a shame!

Itt was so awesome, Dianne. I had so much fun and the most fun I had was watching my son. This was a blessing for him to be able to see this and do what he loves - Photography and being outside.

That's great you got to see the air show. I saw the Blue Angels as a kid and long to see them again. They were so fabulous! I'm sure the show was a lot better than the one I saw which was only the Blue Angels. Yours was so much more exciting.

When I was a kid it was all about the Harlem Globetrotters for me. Now we never hear of them. I am sure that back when you saw them it was a big thrill for you. Yes the show was super. I just wish I could get my videos to load here.

@velvet53 I wish you could too. Yes, I remember hearing all about them too. I don't know if my parents knew in advance they were going to be at the Air Force base we visited in Upper Michigan when we went on vacation that year, or it was a fluke. Either way, it was one of the best days of that vacation.

Thanks Carol. Calrl doesn't get out and do much so this was a very special day. There is a wild horse show going on a short ways from here. I am trying to talk him in to going to it.
