How close was your son to that bear? that is a great picture, and a very big bear. Hope you have fun at the concert, should be a good time. No heat year, nice and cold here, so will do some garden work later today. Then wait to make the dreaded call to see if i have jury duty tomorrow.

Heck we have our own bears here in Florida--no need to go north to see them! I was going to exercise but then I read about you weight training, water aerobics, walking and I got tired!!

Black bears are usually pretty mellow, unless you get between a mama and her cub. Grizzlies will have you for snack. My day was wacky. I went to my friend's preschool to turn in my time card, and wound up working for 1.5 hours. I got to read to my toddlers and torture a teacher in another classroom who does not like me (the one I call the Teacher From Hell). I cycled four miles each way to get my truck fixed, but they ordered the wrong part. So I'll be heading off to Montana with my "Check Engine" light on. They assured me that I would not go up in a ball of flame (it's some gasket issue). Now I have to decide whether to visit the pool or not. First-world issues.

Wow I am seeing a real bear pic

I almost ran into a bear walking across my path on my property a few weeks back. A little to come for comfort. Don't they have such a neat way they walk though?

Just hanging out here online cuz it's hot outside. Right now I should clean, but the cat is sleeping..and if I wake him up he will start meowing and demanding stuff. He's like that!

I wouldn't want to come across a bear so close. Hope your son is having from on vacation!! I am sure you had a ton of fun with friends + concert :)

I hope the picnic and concert were wonderful. A lovely picture of the bear. My day was going well until I found out the bad news regarding Housing. It's taken care of now.

I can see, that bear is really close to your son! There are black bear that wander into yards, about a mile from where we live, but they not very often. In Tawas City, a large bear came out of the woods, beside a busy street about two blocks for our first house! I have a picture of it, on the front page of our local newspaper.

Bears are pretty neat creatures as long as they don't chase me. One time while out fishing a bear came out of the woods next to us.

I have not seen bear as close as that. I bet I heard my stomach growl last night. Happy gym-ing.

That bear looks awfully thin! You need to tell your son he needs to feed it more while he's there on vacation!

Today has been ok i am very tired though, gosh i dont think i could ever get that close to take a photo of a bear no thanks
