plastic surgery

have you ever thought of getting one? i hate it when people say "we're all beautiful in our own way", we all know that's not true. other people say that natural is always prettier than "plastic", just...no i wish i had a plastic surgeon for a friend so he could fix all the things i don't like about myself. imagine. "no one is ugly, just broke" is so true. just look at all those celebrities who used to look "ok" (or not ok) and now they look soooo beautiful that they make you wish you looked like them i know that some people might say "girl, you need a therapist" or that what i said is stupid, but i still think that i'm right. yeah, it's important to accept yourself the way you are. but wouldn't it be better if you could change the things that bother you?

If one has the luxury of doing it, why not?

Ah no, I haven't thought of that. Often times much that one perceives as wrong can be fixed more easily, a hair style, make up, etc....

@aureategloom True, to be good looking naturally is a great thing. But, let us think - why do we find certain things "good looking" and other things not? In reality our looks are only a small part of who we are. Though, still important.

yeah, but not everything can be fixed with makeup and hairstyle. and the point is to look good even without it.

I'm not handsome I know that but if I had the money for a plastic surgery I'd buy thousands of anime, lock myself in and stay glued to the TV for days

It's impossible to do it. I do respect any parts of my body whether it's good or bad.

Not looking for an argument here, but I disagree. I think we all have beauty even if it is not in our physical appearance. I personally am against phony body or facial enhancements. just because we can do it does not mean we should. I like to see people just as they are. I can however understand when someone has some major physical issue, hair lip for example that can be repaired to look normal, yeah, this I think is okay. but reshaping a nose just because the owner doesn't like it? no, not okay be who you are be happy with what you've been given.

@aureategloom I see the beauty in someone when I get to know them. How they present themselves, how warm and open they are, what they like and dislike. Physical appearance has a place, but it is not the top determining factor. I have seen so many "beautiful people" who are not worth my time because they are so shallow and so uncaring about the world about them. Your choice to be unhappy with how you look, but is also your choice on how you deal with it. Only thing for sure is that changing your outer appearance will do nothing for what lies inside you.

@cperry2 not everyone is like that, some people tolerate shallowness and the bad things about someone, just because that person looks nice. i'm not unhappy with how i look (that much), but as a young person i've realized that prettier people go easier through life - "if this doesn't work out, i'll just be a model" or "if this doesn't work, i'm pretty and i'll get married to someone rich and problem solved" and i'm saying this because i know girls who did just that.

and who can see the beauty that is not in our physical appearance? nobody :) how can one be happy with "what he was given" when so many people were given more?

Err … no, absolutely not, and I don't know anyone personally who would answer any differently. I am all in favour of plastic surgery when it is used to improve facial and other features after serious accidents and the like, but for pure vanity purposes - no way! Incidentally, I know that the image you have used is simply a stock one that you have pulled up for this specific purpose, but I wonder what on earth that young lady could possibly want done on her face, which looks just perfect as it is.

i agree about it and, you see, even for this purpose they used a pretty face. pretty people earn from their looks and i'm not saying that some of them don't work to become something, but it's always easier for pretty ones to achieve something. how many people would follow some of instagram models if they looked the way they used to before they had plastic surgery? maybe 12.

@aureategloom There are also some that got plastic surgery and did not turn out the way they wanted. No, I have not thought of it. I have often said to my doctor that I would like a new body.

@aureategloom There are people that want to change by plastic surgery or botox.
• Bosnia And Herzegovina
31 Jul 19
yeah, there are some cases, but i wouldn't think of doing something so big that it could end that bad. and about body, well, i guess people can do a big part of changing their body by watching what they eat and by doing some exercises, so plastic surgery isn't always necessary to change that.

No I don't support plastic surgery. I am happy with my looks. If I want to become more beautiful, I have to maintain myself through lot of things. But not the surgery.

I'm satisfied with my look. I won't regret if one day I will look bad because of aging. That's natural to happen to everyone. I would only agree with plastic surgery if it's urgently needed in order to survive .
