How do you give "best response" rating to the people who respond to your discussions? Do you just mark best response to your friends or do you really go through the discussion and choose the best response. Please answer.

Hi sherinek. I don't know. I do know that I liked it better when you rated each page. I don't even bother anymore with best response because I just can't read and remember all the reponses, to be able to choose a best response. I do rate the responses I enjoy for one reason or another. I don't rate anything less than three lines, unless it is profound. P.S. Hope your husband is taking care...You take care too.

It has a lot of sense. True we cant read the entire discussion cos some times there are more than 10 pages. Even I do the "rating" thing then and there. But if I get a really interesting answer, I give it the best rating. Re my hubby - I told him that I will check him this Saturday. No excuse this time, he has to surrender. I feel sorry for him you know.

I read each and every reponse I receive. When it seems like the responses have quit coming, I go through them and pick the one that I honestly believe has the best response. I don't even usually notice who I'm giving it to.

Thanks for responding. I also do similar to you. But sometimes, very old discussions tend to unearth all of a sudden and quite good responses starts pouring in. This happen to me a lot of times. Some times I wish I could change the rating even.

I think it should go to the response that you thought was best. I admit I can get impatient while waiting for a response and I'm so grateful for recieving the first response to a month old question, that I will give 'best response' as a 'Thank You'... which is probably not encouraged. Plus, you'll almost always regret choosing one too soon because once one person replies, your discussion is bumped and responses start flowing in! I'm sure some people will attempt to cheat the system and give it to friends or relatives though.

I tend to do that too. But very rarely. I agree with your comment very much. This has happened to me a number of times. PS Thanks for requesting for being my friend. Just when I thought of requesting you, I saw your request. Have a nice day.

I go through the responces and really choose the best answer... I do not believe in cheating the system of doing the marking cause they are my friends type thing. I also usually try to give it a length of time before marking best responce.. but the time I mark that it is because I think the conversation is closed. - DNatureofDTrain

I give to the best response. Are the really interested in responding or just earning cash.

Hmm good question. Do you mean the people who responds? I dont think they know that a particular respond will receive a best response tag. But I personally think if you answer a question truly and using your heart and brain, it might probably be chosen. This has happened to me.

I give a best response to whoever I think gave it, if after several weeks I think no-one is going to reply I choose from what's there. Sometimes discussions get dug up weeks later and new replies are given. Sometimes when the new replies appear I wish I could change my decision of give another.

I feel that too sometimes. I think that option is out cos myLot is paying for best responses.

I give best response, like it says...best response. I don't just give it to someone on my friends list.

im not sure best response is of any monetary value, but it certainly should be given to the response that the originator of the discussion feels 'best'addresses the issue.I've seen a lot of them given to verrry dubious replies.

I have a feeling that after giving best response, myLot treats such discussions as resolved and when you resolve a discussion I think (I'm not sure) there is a monitory value. I hope some body who knows about this could answer this.

I go through and choose the responses that add the most to the discussion. I try and rate all responses accurately - positively for responses that are on topic, negative for ones that aren't, and best for the ones that really bring something new to and further the discussion.

I pretty much do the same, except that I don't rate all responses. I give positive ratings if the person totally answered my question and it was on topic. If it was on topic but they only partially answered the question, I don't rate it. If it was off topic or a one or two word response, I give a negative rating.

I give best response to the response which actually answers properly and adds something to the discussions.Sometimes for just pure hilarious stuff too.I go through at least 10 posts of mine each day.picking up each one in rotation.
