Leaving Kids and Animals In The Car

Heard a news story a couple days ago about a man that left his twin babies in his car for 8 hours while he went in to work. Of course he was grief stricken in court when he was being arraigned. To date 24 children have died in hot cars. Not sure how many animals.
They had a good idea for people so they would remember to take their childrens out of the car. Leave something important(as if your child isn't) on the back seat so you have to remember this. In a matter of just a few minutes the inside car temp can rise 20-30 degrees if not more.
What I want to know is: Who is so stressed, tired, unfirm that they can't remember babies in the back seat?

Sure do. And are very self-involved.

Especially as they had to strap them in in the first place.

These were tiny babies, under a year, so they were probably sleeping. Most of time kids are cooing or making some noise. Maybe men shouldn't be the ones to take them to Day Care. All the stories I've heard it's the father who does this.

@celticeagle Here in Roseburg it was the mother a nurse that left her toddler in the car and went to work. You would think someone walking by would notice these children.

@jstory07 Maybe not, unless they were looking for something to steal.

That's no accident in my opinion. They cannot forget to bring their smartphones everywhere they go but they forget their babies or pet in the car?

@CookieMonster46 .......I think they are too self involved. Not used to having others to take care of and think about.

@celticeagle I don't know , something is wrong with the people, I don't think they set out to do it, but somewhere down the road, something changed.

Those are some crazy parents. That guy who went to work was just not playing with a full deck. Heck, he should have gotten someone to watch the babies.

Some women have so many it is hard to haul them all in at every stop. I can sure understand that.

God, what a terrible 8 hours alone? Do they not eat or drink water? What kind of people live in this world? that is, we human beings must raise awareness, I know that for example in my case that I am a single mother we have no help at all and we must go to the bank, to shop, to work even with the children, but that does not mean that we should iteratively kill them! It's so dangerous! Call me "overprotective" but I have a 4-year-old child and another 3-month-old baby, and I never leave you more than 10 minutes without going to see or show me what they are doing, less locked up.

And under a year old. You sound like a mother who cares for her children. Some people are just self involved I think.

@celticeagle Latin mothers are usually very protective, not all believe me! But it is our culture to take them to the classroom of their school, take them by the hand when they cross the street, kiss them, give them the blessing every night, when they go somewhere, etc. . even if they are already men and women, sometimes we suffocate it, hahaha , but it will never be too much, they will always be our children, thanks for your recognition, and it really is that way, I worry about my children in that of leaving them alone and if I do it for some moments, those moments are not removed from my head that they will be doing, whether they will be fine or not, and above all I try to leave them in an accident-proof place and free of any basic danger they may get.

It's crazy to leave babies in a car in a hot day. I can't understand his mind. Can you?

I raised six children and never left them in the car. I also watched my grandchildren and great grandchildren and never left any of them in my car. Even today I always check the back seat when I get out of the car and there is no child in the car at all. You should take one minute to look in your car to make sure everything is ok.

I think that if the father isn't very involved with the kids then he may be more apt to do this.

I think I heard about this on the news too. This is not just a dumb mistake it's beyond stupid Was there not a family member able to watch the twins while this idiotic person went to work? Consciously leaving them in the car is criminal. No other way to put it!

Nowadays people live a very hectic lifestyle, in some jobs they force employees a lot, family problems, etc. Maybe this man was stressed? we do not know. What we should do is give more importance to what really has value in life, family and health. I know we have to take care of our jobs, but we must not die for it. the day that happens they will simply replace you and voila. maybe they will only remind you of some other coworker

Most likely. I also think that he wasn't very involved with the babies or he wouldn't have just forgotten about them.
