thinking about sending a letter to my friend

even though we live in the same country and even though we talked to each other every day, my friend and i used to send each other letters. we even used to made the envelopes.
the letters were something special because we had to write them and be careful not to mess it up and then we had to wait for them, but meanwhile we were talking on the phone.
when i opened that box of memories, i found all of the letters she sent to me and few minutes ago another discussion reminded me of them and now i'm thinking about sending her a letter.
even though we still talk to each other every day, i think it would be a nice surprise and make her happy.
we'll see about it tomorrow.

It's so nice that you still keep this letter writing system alive. I don't remember when was the last time I wrote one or received one. Such beauties of life are just dying out in this era.

why would people waste time on writing and sending letters, when they can chat on social media much easier. but letters are something special, like i said before.
