Its dark and cloudy outside Its been raining continously for more than a week now. There has been an alert put in our city and some schools have shut as a precautionary measure. Some people cry because they have no rains and some complain that there is too much rains. We are now waiting for a respite from the rains and for the city to dry a bit. I love rainy days, those that seem taken from photographs or love poems, with a window full of droplets falling and yourself holding a hot chocolate and a coat ... But when the expectation becomes reality, you remember that you do not You are in a cabin, you look outside your building and you get a lot of cars for half the water and then the perfect rainy day becomes cruel hahaha. Laugh a little.

You know there are parts of Maharashtra that still haven't received sufficient rains. And some regions that had such acute water shortage that when they went to drill bore well, molten lava came out...that deep (Maharashtra, as we know does suffer earthquakes so it can only be expected). But state and central governments are busy building statues. Sure tourists will come. They won't need water to bathe. They will use perfumes instead. LOL

Yes its extreme rains in some places an droughts in some. And the perfumes will get washed out in the waters.

Yes some area have heavy rain, but in my area still we have not heavy rain and we also don't want it. Here drainage system is very poor.

Same here in the Philippines. It's been raining for few days, and most areas in Metro Manila are flooded again. Not new. What makes your streets flooded? Is it also because of clogged drainage?

@wittynet I think this problem is in most countries. Very few countries have very strict laws about disposal of garbage. Here too we have a lot of problems due to trash thrown everywhere and no proper rules for disposal of garbage.

@mayka123 here most people don't care the environment at all. They leave their trash anywhere they want to. Can you imagine even teachers are like that. How did I know? They leave so many trash in most of the training events they attend to. Maintenance people are always needed due to so many trash left by teachers. How sad. I know some of them are not irresponsible and insensitive, but they are outnumbered.

its been wonderful rain in last one week as its now very heavier but these are much-needed rain as this kind of rain not happen often. right now much heavier rain in Surat, Gujarat where before it's in Vadodara and Rajkot who underwater. in which city you are in India.

I am in Maharashtra and some parts of Maharashtra specially on the west coast thats near the sea are flooded And we are expecting a high tide anytime soon so that will make the situation worse.

@amitkokiladitya We waited for the water to subside and then the Company provided us with cars to drop us to the nearest railway station. We did not want to travel home by the cars because we were afraid we would get stuck on the roads somewhere.
